What To Wear For Your Boudoir Shoot
Wondering what the heck you should wear to your upcoming boudoir session? I’ve got you.
First thing’s first:
You don’t have to wear JUST lingerie to your shoot! You may be thinking - “But wait… isn’t that the point?” Well my friend, I’m going to let you in on a little secret: whatever makes you feel SEXY, BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS? That’s exactly what you wear.
But let’s not discount lingerie
Lingerie is like the gateway to feeling sexy. It’s this sultry secret that we wear under our clothes, something we get dressed into for our partners if we want to spice it up for the evening, or even a way to boost our own confidence. Have you ever dressed up in lingerie and eaten strawberries while sipping on a glass of wine? Me neither, but it just SOUNDS sexy?!
If lingerie is something you’re into, I would suggest the following pieces:
• Bra and underwear matching set
• Bodysuit - my literal favourite piece of lingerie, next to a harness or garter belt (as listed below)
• Robe
• Accessories - shoes/heels, stockings/fishnets, jewelry, harness, garter belt

Regular clothing can be stunning TOO!
The power of regular, everyday clothing in a boudoir shoot is waaaay underestimated. I’m even guilty of underestimating its beauty!
Grab your favourite pair of jeans and pair it with a bralette - boom, we show off the curve of your back, or shoot details of you unbuttoning them.
Or switch it up! Wear a cozy sweater or loose shirt and pair it with a lacy pair of underwear. The power of the photo comes from what you decorate your body with. If you feel sexy, it will come across that way in the photos.
Ultimately, the more options you bring, the more we get to choose from.
Let’s get naked
Our natural, human form is naked. I believe that we, as a society, should learn to accept nudity as a form of art (it truly is!!!). Shooting nude? I equate it to a peaceful experience. Sure, there may be nerves associated with it, but it’s the rawest form of you. Beauty at its core.
Getting photos taken of you in your current body is a wonderful adventure. No matter how you feel today, you’ll look back on these images in 5, 10, 20 years and think “damn, I’m so glad I went for that boudoir shoot and went nudie. LOOK AT THAT BOD!”
PSA: Everyone has differing comfort levels, so if you’re not cool with being nude you totally don’t have to be.
